There are six locations for landfill and transfer stations in the Taupō region. All facilities are closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday and up to 1pm on Anzac Day.
Broadlands Road Resource Recovery Park
(Approximately 3 kilometres north of Taupō on Broadlands Road)
Broadlands accepts:
All the recyclables you put in your green bin
Green waste ($50 per tonne)

Scrap metal including well washed paint tins
Car batteries and car bodies
Untreated timber (if suitable for fire wood)

Concrete ($10 per tonne)

Most recycling is free but a charge may apply to some recyclable materials.
