Coastguard Lake Taupō is a Volunteer Search and Rescue organisation based at the northern end of Lake Taupō with a Maritime Centre at 14 Rauhotu Street, Taupo.

Coastguard Lake Taupō has two well-equipped rescue vessels to attend emergency situations anywhere on Lake Taupō or the upper reaches of the Waikato River.  Generally, we are responsible for the Northern end of the Lake from a line between Motutaiko Island and Waihaha Beach, but in extreme circumstances and major searches, we work in conjunction with Coastguard Tūrangi.
