Laura Arnold Audiology offers free hearing checks carried out by one of their audiology experts. The basic hearing check or screening takes just 20 minutes but will only determine if hearing loss is present. A basic check cannot tell us how much hearing loss you have and what type of hearing loss you have. If a loss is detected, a full diagnostic hearing test is needed to determine the degree and type of hearing loss you have. 

If further diagnostic testing is needed, you will be encouraged to book in for a full diagnostic assessment. At this appointment, Laura or Sami will give you an accurate picture of your hearing, and the most appropriate treatment for your hearing needs. They will review key personal health information with you and ask you a few questions about where you experience hearing loss or hearing difficulty in your day to day life. They will conduct testing to discover whether a hearing loss exists, the exact degree and the type of hearing loss. After the test, you will then have the opportunity to discuss what options are available to you and if hearing assistance is required they will explain the high-quality range of hearing aids available. You are more than welcome to bring a friend or family member to this appointment. A full diagnostic assessment includes several audiology tests and includes a written report for you and your GP.
