Nutri-Grain Ironman New Zealand organisers say the Taupō event will now take place on Saturday, March 27.
The original March 6 date was dropped with the re-introduction of Covid-19 Level 2 restrictions.
Dave Beeche, managing director of IRONMAN Group Oceania, thanked those who worked on the postponement.
He also thanked athletes for their patience.
“This event means a lot to Taupō, it injects more than $8m a year into the region, we have 2,200 Mercury volunteers join us and $90,000 is donated to community groups.”
