Taupō Museum - Sharing Taupo's stories with the world.

Home to the Ora Garden - Winner of a Chelsea Flower Show gold medal the Taupō museum has many stories of the old and modern day Taupō. There are two art gallery spaces showcasing original local art as well as national touring exhibitions, a museum shop, facilities and programmes for school groups who wish to visit and much more.

Displays at the Taupō Museum include the Tuwharetoa Gallery, Kiwiana Caravan, Maori Meeting House, Taupō's Volcanic Secrets and Ruaumoko - God of Geothermal.

• $5 adults
• $3 seniors, tertiary students
• Free to children, Taupō residents and ratepayers
• Bus Tours and Group Tours - $3 p/head or $5 p/head includes a 15 minute tour/talk of the museum or Ora Garden project by one of our friendly staff or Friends. Advanced bookings appreciated.
